Jolie is a very beautiful woman, but not Bond by any means. Wasn't Jinx supposed to be a 'female Bond'?

The one scenario that I might accept would be if they did a re-boot of the re-boot of the franchise.

To wit: She starts off in the pre-titles as 007. Mr. Craig promptly dispatches her (cleanly, a'la PPK), and then takes on the number.

More seriously, I guess it's okay to talk about what someone or another is doing w/ Jinx, or how the franchise now needs a female Bond. But does anyone, in general, ever give this sort of thing any true weight?

If she wants to be Bond so badly, let her team up with Tarantino and make the long-awaited Modesty Blaise film. That is as close as she will ever get to being Bond.

That's a VERY good idea ! :cooltongue:

Where is your sense of non-discrimination for transgenders? Craig gets a sex-ectomy and becomes Jolie :cooltongue:

Yes, Four, and finally non-Craig fans could stop mocking his 'slightly puckered-looking lips' and have fun with the 'tire tread' of his new replacement.

It would have to be in her dreams to be a female 007. I want to see her as a villianess.

She would make a good villian.

She's not worthy...

Besides, she's too famous. The girl that'll land that gig (IF it ever happens) will need to be somewhat of a newcomer. Can't have someone everyone has already formed an opinion about in their minds.

Good Lord! There's an awful lot of vitriol about on CB.n today. I hope it's not catching. No, I don't want her to be JB either, but she probably never said any such thing.

Oh, come on santa. China Daily has an impeccable reputation for reporting only ironclad fact. And CBn members have an admirable reputation for only [censored]ting on those who really, really deserve it.

You did know I was being sarcastic, right?

Hard to tell, I realize, because I'm hardly ever sarcastic.

Cool, and sorry to have doubted your powers of discernment. It's just that sometimes an ironic post will be taken at face value with potentially disastrous consequences for the ensuing discussion.

Never mind me, then. Nothing to see here.

Well, Jolie probably can get away without carrying a knife or gun.

Q Branch will supposedly be fitting her with fake lips that secrete a fast working venom when bad guys bite her while kissing and are distracted while trying to stack her up as she takes off her dripping little undies.

Should work. Make life easier travelling through airport security, non?

Stop! I can't stop laughing! Ellen D as Q. Too funny. Maybe we should start a thread of so rediculous it's hi-larious bond casting.

The way people complained about DC being blonde was one thing, but imagine this!

Anywho, Bond can be blond, brunette, 6 feet tall, 6'2, maybe even 5'5, as long as the guy can pull it off and just be Bond. But I would wager that the one thing bond MUST have in all incarnations, is his "gun".

You could have a bond like female character, but you can't have a female bond. Since this is about this paticular actress, Lara Croft works as Lara Croft, and can be viewed almost as a female interpertation of Indiana Jones, but she is still her own character. Regardless, I wouldn't go see it.

She'd make a great villain. ANd possibly love interest too.

and since she was in Tomb Raider with Daniel, it's almost a safe bet that she MIGHT do a small scene in the future. If not ro 22 then for 23.

But she'd have to die at some point in the film. :cooltongue:

I wonder if Miss Jolie also wants to be the first female Batman while she's at it. Her alter ego could be Brucina Wayne.

As it doesn't with most people. The only way Bod can be played by her is if she had a sex change, because bond is male and a very "active" male, so he wouldn't be thinking about that.
