[Safari Suit]

I wasn't really sure about this "Simpsons" movie, but after seeing the first image on this:

For those of you clamoring to see Live Free or Die Hard (or Die Hard 4, if you prefer), the teaser trailer was posted a few days ago & it's looks awesome. One of the exploding cars that goes flying through the air looks a little reminiscent of a scene from Spider-Man where he catches the police car with the webbing.

My bad. This was "new" to the Apple site. I rarely check Yahoo movies but the good part is that I now have a 1080p High Def version of the trailer! On the stunts, I'm willing to accept a few ridiculous stunts just because it's been a long time since I last saw John McClane mix it up on the big screen.

• Fracture - Anthony Hopkins playing a maniac who toys with another people. Sounds similar to Hannibal Lecter? Sure. But I'll show up for Hopkins doing that shtick any day. Oh, and the lovely Rosamund Pike features.
• Ocean's 13 - Looks like a good bit of fun from the Ocean team.
• Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - Hopefully they'll maintain the quality of the last fantastic installment.
• 1408 - Word is that this is a psychological horror film that actually delivers.
• The Simpsons Movie - Gotta love the Simpsons.
• Stardust - A fantasy flick with DeNiro and Pfeifer from LAYER CAKE's Vaughn.
• The Bourne Ultimatum - I dig the first two, so I'm definitely checking this one out.
• American Gangster - Ridley Scott with Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe.
• His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass - Daniel Craig and Eva Green. 'Nuff said.
• Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - Sondheim's finest musical (and undoubtedly the greatest musical of all time) is finally coming to the screen, under the direction of Tim Burton, with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, and Christopher Lee. It's my most-anticipated film of 2007.

I'm really looking forward to Rush Hour 3 and Oceans 13. Was the movie BREACH released this year? I loved that movie and I highly recommend it.

Breach is scheduled for DVD release on June 12th in North America. I liked this movie a lot as well & would recommend checking it out.

Seems so weird how fast they come out on DVD now. I remember having to wait those six agonizing months for the Die Another Day DVD.

So far this year I've seen:

Rocky Balboa
Loved it. Easily my favourite of the year so far.

Hot Fuzz
Very good, but a little overrated by the Total Film/IMDB crowd.

The Number 23
This got panned by critics, and it has an appalling ending, but I enjoyed most of it.

TMNT
Some bits I found implausible and illogical even for a cartoon, but overall it was a nice bit of nostalgia.

Norbit
I would love to be all fashionable and say I thought it was horrendous, but in all honesty I wasn't bothered either way by it.

Spider-Man 3
Not great, but personally I liked this a lot more than the second one.

Pirates 3
Eh, it had its moments.

I supposed I've been fairly lucky the year. As for looking forward, I generally take these films as they come, but I suppose part of me is cautiously excited about Transformers, and I hope Mr. Brooks gets a UK release some time.
