Benson's Bedside Companion was nominated for an Edgar Allen Poe award back when it was first released. I seem to recall someone else Bond-related winning or being nominated as well.

Good news, as always. :cooltongue:

That's an amazing group of films to be nominated against. To the point where I wouldn't automatically say "Casino Royale" should get it.

"Casino Royale, Screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade & Paul Haggis,...."

Surely the bold type should read: "Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and Paul Haggis"?

maybe they're recognising them as a whole, and not with P&W as a team.

Shame we lost.

And isn't it interesting to see that both Thunderball and Licence to Kill were previously nominated? I remember a lot of comparisons being made about CR to both of those when pictures of the embassy chase and Ocean Club scenes began to surface.

People don't know quality when they see it.

I agree that CASINO ROYALE was quality. But I must admit that so was THE DEPARTED. It was the most unusual Scorsese crime drama I had ever seen.

I'm obviously biased, but I would choose Casino Royale over The Departed any day.

Oh, me too. Although if forced to pick between Infernal Affairs and The Departed, that's a much tougher call.
