Does anyone else kinda wish that they'd stop labeling each new book as "The New Bond Adventure", I mean it's only going to be the new Bond adventure for a year until the next one comes out.

Of course, there's always the remote possibility that what's posted on Amazon is NOT the final cover art. This was true of TWINE and TND (and the US ZMT paperback).mccartney007 (18 Jan, 2002 06:04 p.m.):
It's nice that Hodder finally decided on that coverart. They have been talking about using that since October or so.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that! Maybe it will be just a proof cover.

Different to Zencats and Mine, new style, but with an old 'touch'.

I can't help thinking it looks like the box for some frozen chinese food, you know, the ones with the little packet of crispy things you put on top after it's been nuked :-)

Compare it to Benson's first real outing, Zero Minus Ten, and the difference in quality shows a mile off (the mushroom cloud as the pupil in the eye is brilliant):

However, have you noticed that the "Praise for RB" is the same as the other books...
"Welcome back, Mr. Bond. We've been waiting for you...Benson has gone back to Bondian basics in a fast-moving world of bedrooms, firm breasts, betting and bruises." INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY
Why the repitition?

Forgive my anti-Benson feelings, but I belive the repetition is due to the sad fact he has nothing new to offer since they wrote that.
However, having just finished NDOD I can't recall any specific mentions of 'firm breats'. A 'firm plot' might be the next step for Benson.

I think Penguin is trying to do the same thing by assuming that by fifty years later, we should all know which books are Bond and not superfluously putting his name and number on the cover.

No. It's just laziness on the part of the publisher. They did the same thing with Gardner. A review blurb from License Renewed was used right up to the end. Besides, it's a good blurb.General Koskov (07 Apr, 2002 06:46 p.m.):

I was wondering what it reminded me of but I think you've hit the nail square on its top.
I'm thinking a sort of soy/chilli sauce combination, brought to you direct from Beijing in Peckham!
Of the three art works above, the one on the right gets my vote. Better branding, more dynamic.
