CBn's friendly competitor are running a story that states that Bond's car for Bond 22 may be a Jag, thanks to Ford's selling of Aston Martin...

You know, for a four door car...that is very nice. It is VERY Bondish.

It does look good. This could be the end of Aston Martin in Bond then for at least Bond 22. It wouldnt hurt just for one film, it does look alot stronger than those BMW's - and Jag is British so thats good.

Yeah...I read an article in a car magazine in my Dentist's office four or five months ago in which the head of Jaguar said the car in Bond 22 would be the new Jag. I'm pretty sure I put that in the forums somewhere, but I don't think we gave it that much attention. Remember, Aston Martin first said the CR car would be the Vantage (and the head of Fiat said Bond's car would be the Panda!).

This time I'm not to going to salivate or speculate over every little bit of "news" until it's confirmed by Eon. I'm also going to attempt to be spoiler free. Well, I'm gonna try at least. :cooltongue:

I'd be quite happy with a hybrid saloon/coup

Ah, the new Jag show car, the C-XF. Autoweek has a nice story on it with some tasty pictures: http://www.autoweek....=73268471927460 They say the concept car is only about 20% over the top of how the production vehicle will look, so it could be Bond's next car. But if he drives a Jag, why not the beautiful and AM-like XKR? http://www.autoweek....=73268472080301

Of the two, I concede that I prefer the XKR.

A neighbor has a 2005 XKR convertible in black. I have dibs on buying it when they get in the mood for a new car. Doubt they will remember though! And I might be ready to go back to a hardtop anyway - the XKR may look better with a steel lid.

I predict that we'll see the DB5 as his personal car and the Jag (if it's true) as his "mission" car.

A Double-O driving a jaguar?

Who'd imagine such a thing?

Oh yeah...

*smiles*

:cooltongue:

Although, as we all know, Benson did have 007 sporting about in an XK8 and the new beast does look impressive.

I'll dig around and see if any of the JOC members have any inside scoop.

Either car would be great, though I would miss the Astons.

I saw this article too, It is one hell of a car. I think it fits in nice with the current James Bond styling. I did get a chance to see the New Aston Martin up close and personal and it is quite an astounding auto.

I'd be more than happy with Bond in a Jag. It would be a nice change of pace, honestly, and it still has the right amount of Bondian class.
