I have two TV's in my bedroom and last night i decided to compare te UE & the SE of FYEO and i got quite a shock when i saw the difference in the opening titles!. The UE version gives sheena easton a fleshy colour and makes her stand out more, but in the SE she is tinted blue to blend in with the background, another big difference is the blue in the SE opening titles is changed to green in the UE version.
I will post pics tommorow to support this :cooltongue:

mharkin, compare the two editions for the scene where Bond kicks Locque's car off the cliff. I would be interested to hear your comments. The closing titles are also blue vs. green. Blue is the proper colour. Also, if you have both editions of AVTAK, compare the fire engine chase just at the bit where the ladder brings down the Chevron sign. The water beneath the Golden Gate bridge is green as opposed to blue in the SE (and previous video copies). There is a definite green hue on some of the UEs but is most noticable where water is concerned.

Just watched the UE of For Your Eyes Only last night. I noticed how dark that scene is. But it makes more sense as the previous scene happens at night.

Agreed, it always confused me a bit as to just how long that flight of steps was. He starts at night and comes up in broad daylight? Now there's man who really wants revenge! :cooltongue:

Really annoys me that does. Bad continuety. All they do is film it in daylight but with a coloured filter to make it look night. OHMSS is the same aswell. very poor in some areas of the ski chase

mharkin, try swaping televisions and see if you see the same things colours can change from television to television.

Very interesting about Sheena Easton standing out more. I wonder what the reasoning behind that was; if it was merely an arbitrary decision by the image team, or did someone specifically complain about it. Since we're on the same topic, is it just me, or did some of the silhouettes get really mucked up during those title sequences(Blacks bleeding over elsewhere)? I recall it being particularly bad on TB and MR. Anyone else notice this?

I noticed how horrible the transition was between Bond and his silhouette in TSWLM opening titles :cooltongue:
