The Themes Bond... James Bond

Future Legends Records and in particular Producer Russell C. Writer are well known for doing great new versions of James Bond themes. Even John Barry said on a BBC Radio Interview on the same show as Russell talking about Cult Themes, that Russell brought new and interesting things to the Bond tracks and some were as good as the originals.

Prior to 2000 the only way to get these new versions of Bond themes, were on the popular F.L.R Cult T.V and Film Themes albums. Bond Fans had been asking for years if they could be put onto one album. Then for a period of 2 weeks in 2000 F.L.R bowed to pressure from Bond fans and released a limited edition exclusive through the net of 500 copies of the Bond themes (that featured on the 5 Cult Themes) onto one album called 'Stirred not Shaken'. These sold out straightaway and many people have been asking for it to become an official release ever since.

Since then 2 more new Bond themes came out via 'Cult Themes from the 80's'.For Your Eyes Only and The Living Daylights.

To celebrate the new Bond film Casino Royale, F.L.R are releasing their definitive Bond themes collection entitled 'THE THEMES BOND....JAMES BOND'
Not only does it contain the tracks on the original release, but the 2 from the 80's themes album plus 2 tracks recorded exclusively for this album by hot new act 'Psykick Holiday'. They have done very interesting versions of The James Bond Theme and A View to a Kill.

There is also an exclusive instrumental version of 'From Russia With Love' (Not on any cult themes album) and an alternative vocal version of 'Nobody does it better' (The Spy who loved me). A full track listing bottom of page.

ADDITIONAL INFO
The original version of Casino Royale by Adventures of Parsley (Themes from 60's 2) was used as the theme tune for Radio 2/GLR/Never mind the Buzzcocks D.J Mark Lamarr's show for 2 years. Also top radio One D.J Mark Radcliffe was a fan of it and played it regularly.

Cult Artist Eleanor Rigby has sold hundreds of thousands of records Worldwide and her version of You only live Twice was number One in Italy when released as a single it also went on to feature on a Number Ones hits album featuring the likes of The Supremes, Fleetwood Mac, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones and many household names.

The number ones association doesn't stop there. The Honeycombs had a Worldwide number one with Have I the Right that sold 27 million records. Their last ever recording was the Bond theme featured here Live and Let Die.

One track John Barry raved about was Moonraker by Oriental singer Joan Martin who is a top ten hit artist from Singapore and the face of Asia MTV for a while.

Many may also know the name Mouse or Editors from the Uk indie scene.
Finally the albums producer Russell C. Writer was recently listed in The Top 20 most Innovative Record Producers of All Time'. (One main factor of this was his production and arrangements of Cult themes including the Bond ones)

The Album is available now and once again it is a limited edition of only 500 copies. These are only available mail order through F.L.R and not available in any shops. A quick update: Many interested buyers have said the limited edition window to get it is too small (eg this December). So The Album will now be available until it sells out and will not be deleted at the end of 2006 as previously stated.
