Pierce says it while on the motor bike with wailin on TND, but i dont think its meant to be taken as a direct reference .
Ah! I am NOT crazy, today at least. Thank you.
As far as coincidence, do you really think so? This is P&W quoting themselves after 10 years since they first penned the line. They couldn't think of anything else?
Incidentally, what was Wailin's previous line that Pierce wouldn't dream of doing?

"Don't get any ideas, Mr. Bond."
Other than also being used in TND, I think "I wouldn't dream of it" in Casino Royale is reminiscent of Brosnan because Craig delivers it in a very Broz way.

"Don't get any ideas", said after she repositioned herself on the bike by sitting on Bond's lap, facing him. There was probably another instance somewhere else in a Bond movie, though.Incidentally, what was Wailin's previous line that Pierce wouldn't dream of doing?
I also think the "I'm all ears" line (from the same CR scene in question) sounds oddly familiar.

Surprised no one's picked up on this yet. P&W couldnt be quoting themselves, period. Why? Because they didn't write TND, they werent hired until TWINE.
Plus, it's Wai Lin, with a space.

Sometimes, though, it CAN just be lazy - as Mankiewicz' "Science was never my strong suit" appearing in both DaF (from Blofeld) and TMWTGG (from Scaramanga) testifies. Apart from anything else, both characters clearly DO know plenty about the sience of what they're doing. It's just a vaguely decent line used to conclude a 'how this thing works' dialogue run.

Connery uses a line about being a hell of a time to be superstitious in FRWL and Lazenby says he's superstitious when he throws the knife in Draco's office and Draco says "But today is the 13th, commander."
And even Connery uses the same line twice, although one was cut. He says "The things I do for England" when caressing Fiona in TB, but the line was cut, only to be used on another redhead, Ms. Brandt, in YOLT.
There are probably other cases as well.

After recent review, I have no doubt that Cody is right. I think this line is an intentional look back at Broz. If the writers did not intend it to be so, at the very least Craig did. He delivers it as truly as any Brosnan impersonator could.
After all, Craig does talk about the encouragement he received from Pierce upon accepting the role of Bond. I would not be surprised if that conversation inspired this generous little nod to his predecessor.

I think the "I wouldn't dream of it" in Casino Royale and in the Brosnan movies actually started with Roger. Roger used to always say, "the thought never crossed my mind" which is a form of the dreaming line.
Good point. And Connery would say something like "Would I do that to you?" with a smile.
Yes, that line in CR makes me think of Brosnan every time, which is not a bad thing in my book. I like little nods to the other Bonds. M even talks about missing the Cold War - something she didn't like in Goldeneye.

And escape an exploding underground nuclear reactor, apparently.Either way, it was just long enough for one to use the bathroom and change their oil without missing any other lines.
