Really nice chap, met him at the London Premiere. He was at the general audience entrance and was so kind to autograph my ticket.
He really deserved being in CR. Recently saw him in a German talk show, and I learned that he's a long-time Bond fan. He couldn't stop talking about the novel, and even told a story when he he travelled to northern France a few years ago and tried to find the location of the original Casino Royale

That was a mis-spelling. It was supposed to say Luger Pistol, which was later changed to Walther P99 to fit with the rest of the franchise. Before production started I remember on the web they said ludger pistor was going to be in casino royale. Now I dont know who he is but I'd like to know who he played.

O yes your right Damien. He reminded me of a character from harry potter for some reason...
Now that you mention it, he DOES remind me of a Harry Potter character. Maybe Mr. Weasley...

When Bond quips, "You didn't bring chocolates?" to Mendell
His response and the look on Bond's face in reaction is a great little comedic moment.

Definitely. Got a laugh in the audience every time I saw the film.
