Myt trip to San Francisco

I don't write enough in these forums so I thought I'd post again and reintroduce myself.
Anywho, last weeekend I had the chance to go to San Fran with some friends. Being the huge Bond fan that I am I had to describe all of the Bond locations to everyone. First was City Hall (as beautiful as it is in the film). I explained that the mayor was a huge Bond fan and preferred Moore to Connery and allowed them to have controlled fires in the building. My friends were in awe (alright not so much aew, but interest). When we went across the Golden Gate I again explained all of the deatails of how the fight. And how the stunt men were not allowed to throw any punches at eachother. Again I captivated my audience. I believe the Bay Bridge was also used in the fire truck chase (please correct me if I am wrong here).
I then explained that if you are a Bond fan chances are you know the other films of the actors. We went to Alcatraz and I quoted the Rock with "Welcome to the Rock" and quietly joked that "what kind of f-up tour is this". They all laughed. Lastly we went to the Presidio and again I explained about Connery and Meg Ryan's film there. They were less impressed because the movie in general is less impressive.
Since I was a little boy traveling with my parents whenever we would go to places that Bond films had been done I would have to explain the significance of it to everyone. From the Skinny Bridge in Amesterdam to the hotels and casinos in the Bahamas in Thunderball and Never Say Never Again to the Eiffel Tower and the Golden Gate Bridge. The historic knowledge I always explained to my parents was far less interesting than Bond knowledge. And what would I have to post in forums.
Overall a wonderful trip for all and I then watched AVTAK when I got home. There really is nothing like watching a Bond film after you have seen it for real.
Anyone else have these same feelings of excitement when they go to a Bond site for the first or second time.

The exact spots where they filmed some of Roger's last 007 film..
I'd love to see the sea port where Chuck Lee & Roger were talking.. (inwhich Maude was supposed to be walking in the background)
If I lived in cali i'd look for .. Three's Company locations.. AVTAK locations..
Take some pics for us fans that live on the east coast
post them here

I don't think 007 has ever been to Washington DC though which is strange because the general consensus is that Washington DC has more spies than any other city in the world.
I doubt it will happen anytime soon, especially with xXx2 being filmed here!

Of course, Bond has been to D.C. in several Gardner books. If memory serves; For Special Services, Cold, and...Scorpius?

It would seem like a perfectly logical place for Bond to visit. If the rumor is true that Michael Madsen is going to be in Bond 21 perhaps we will see this city used as a locale - after all the NSA is located here.
