Michael G. Wilson, 63, and Barbara Broccoli, 46, will be in charge for awhile but have you ever thought about who'll take over from them when they retire?

I noticed the name David G. Wilson as Associate Producer in the Casino Royale credits. I'm glad to see somebody is being groomed to take over the family business. Does Barbara Broccoli have any children and does Wilson have any others?

I know Barbara is married to another film producer. There is also Tony Broccoli who is Barbara's step brother. He must be in 50's. He was adopted whilst Cubby was married to his second wife who later died of cancer. Doctors said she couldn't have babies but then she fell pregnant with Cubby's first daughter. Can't remeber her name though. Tony has also has been credited on other Bond films.

I woundn't mind taking their place though. Would you Righty :)

David Wilson is Michael's oldest son.. His younger son, Gregg (whom I went to school with) was an assistant editor on Casino Royale as well as Script Supervisor on Die Another Day.. so I think its safe to say Michael wants his children to take over the family business!! :)

Last time I saw Gregg was at my high school reunion in Vegas last year.. I'm really tempted next time I see or talk to him, to see if he can get me a part in the next Bond film!! lol :)

This is something I've been wondering about. Good to hear there's a chance Bond will stay in the family.

Maybe Kevin McClory's kids will take over and remake Thunderball 20 times.

Yes, I believe Tina and Tony Broccoli each worked on a few of the 80s Bond films.

Craig plays Largo in number 17 since he looks so much like a villian!!!!!!!!!! Not.

Daniel Craig is way too ugly to play Largo.

Oh, I've stumbled upon a gold mine here.

Goldenraker, starring an 96-year old Roger Moore returns after a 34 year hiatus as our superhero spy. John Malkovich as Auric Gardener, an evil villain bent on trimming the bushes outside of Buckingham Palace in very lewd shapes.

Richard Kiel returns as Jaws. In a controversial move, he attacks the bushes with his teeth, angering gardening purists everywhere. Roger punches him in the mouth three or four times, then they finally decide to drink some Bollinger and call it a day.

Wouldnt Babs produce the films as long as physically possible? That could be another 30 years or more before they even start to worry about who will take over.

Well, since there has almost always been 2 producers, once Wilson leaves she'll continue but find someone else to take his spot (much like Wilson did when her father stopped for GE).

This has been bothering for sometime now. I'm guessing the following are both the same person, but I could be wrong and it could just be a coincidence. Anyone know? Look at their credits.

It is good to know Bond will survive long after me.

I think Babs will certainly be making Bond movies for the next 30 years, and Michael will be around for the next 10-20 years of making them too, IMO.

But yes, maybe David Wilson will join the producer team at some point.

But-

What if they sold the rights to someone else? They would get billions and could then go off and do something different.

The Broccoli's have been focused on Bond for 46 years. I highly doubt they're going to sell the property so they can "do something different."

Different to them is hiring Daniel Craig and making Casino Royale and I like that kind of change.

I couldn't imagine them selling the rights as long as there is someone to carry it on for them. But could you imagine what the offer would be for the property rights. BIG MONEY!

In Die Another Day, I think Gregg Wilson also got the "byline" in the magazine article Bond is reading on the plane back to the UK from Cuba. It's the article about Gustav Graves (and which has "Diamonds Are Forever" as a subhead or similar graphic element).

It will be interesting to see what happens when the copyright expire and Bond becomes "public". Isn't it 50-70 years after the authors death or something? That will probably happen in the Wilson/Babs lifetime.

We've been hearing David G. Wilson's name a lot these days. Glad to know somebody's being groomed to lead Eon Productions in the future.
