...Only seen it once. Trying to schedule another trip to the theater, but being a single mom...
Anyway.
There's a "flash-forward" where Bond is talking with Mathis on the balcony, and we see that the bodies of the thugs are in LeChiffre's trunk.
When does this happen?
There's a one-hour break. The thugs threaten LeChiffre and then attach Bond. Then they go back to the game. The game takes place all in one long night, yes? And after the game ends, Bond has dinner with Vesper, leaves dinner to see her kidnapped, and by dawn is being tortured. So when is that "next morning" scene that we flashed forward to? Was it just a fantasy?
Thanks for your help.

The game takes place over the course of two days [nights].

Yeah, if you look on the behind the scenes clips on the official site, Wilson meantions that it takes place over two days. Which, imo is more realistic as it's not really easy to clean somebody out in just a few hours.

I was a bit confused as well, eventhough I assumed it was a two night game. There is a real fast weird cut from him cleaning his wounds and going back down all clean, to all of a sudden going back up to the room for the shower scene, with no card playng in between. I assume that was the end of night one.

That is how I interpreted the course of events unfolding dennisbolt. It is all done rather quickly so it may be difficult to truly make sense of it all, however I too have heard of many of these poker tournaments being played over several nights. That was the case with Casino Royale's tournament in the Salon Private.

The shot of Bond looking in on a sleeping Vesper and then going out into the light of day made it clear that one night had passed and they were heading into another day of poker.

Thanks, this is very helpful.
Of course, I do wonder how LeChiffre explained the bodies, but whatever.
