I didn't bother me, just noticed it!
I for one think that CR is a very good movie and I like the way Graig is doing "Bond"!
CR is really a new beginning!

What about the torture scene ..the way Craig was speaking...any resemblance to Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon when he was being tortured?

Of course you wouldn't do that. Not many men would, but then there's only one James Bond.

Yes, well maybe the itch-joke was a little bit over the top!
don't think I would be joking whilst they were doing that to me!

Absolutely, it's pretty much an homage to that scene in Raiders, including, but not limited to, ramming the opponents head into the dashboard, bond getting chucked out of the truck once but managing to get back on it, and even certain musical cues are similar.Oh it's just like it- especially with the fight in the cab. I don't there's anything hugely wrong with it, but the similarites are obvious!

Why are we all comparing Casino Royale with other movies

And the truck chase in RAIDERS is homage to the stagecoach stunt sequence legendary stuntman Yakima Canutt performed for John Wayne in John Ford's western STAGECOACH, and was also similiar to the stagecoach bit in the movie serial ZORRO'S FIGHTING LEGION. As a matter of fact, if we want to talk about all the movies the Indiana Jones films steal from (TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, CASABLANCA, GUNGA DIN, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, THE STEEL HELMET, etc.) we'll be here for a week.Absolutely, it's pretty much an homage to that scene in Raiders, including, but not limited to, ramming the opponents head into the dashboard, bond getting chucked out of the truck once but managing to get back on it, and even certain musical cues are similar.

RAIDERS has been one of my favorite movies since its release. I've seen it well over 150 times. It was only natural that I'd get interested in seeing the movies that were inspirations for it. It has minor flaws (I wish Karen Allen were more of a Hawksian woman instead of a Spielbergian tomboy for example), but it's still one of the greatest of all adventure movies. How dare you insult Raiders Of The Lost Ark! HOW VERY DARE YOU!
