ok to start i think this is the best bond movie to come since Goldeneye. now saying that i think that its fair to say Craig has earned his spot in the top 3.

intro:

from the beginning i was siked and ready to go but to see the intro was a little dissappointing for the mere fact that most of the scene was used for the trailers.you see the car pull up the elevator the guy get shot etc. I think they could have shown bond fight the agent a bit more before he was killed. the gun barrell was very unique and it also gives us something to wait for as well for the next one to see his style if they do a proper intro.

Beginning:

Just like the intro you get the gist of the first 2 scenes through the previews but the action was great but the only downfall was that the mission or plot wasnt established soon enough in my book. To me if your not a big fan and you dont know the plot to this movie your going to look at bond chasing around the first hour saying to yourself " why is he running so much". the backdrop could have been set up better if the plot was brought up before his chasing of the free runner. i like the fact that Craigs hand to hand is more smooth and realistic than say a roger moore. To me there was a little bit too much hand to hand and if they made bond kill more you could have gotten a sense of his colder side.

the poker:

to me the poker scenes could have been longer. if they would have showed bond losing more and his stack dwindle the emotion in the scenes would have been on edge because you would wonder if hes going to get out alive. they were too choppy with those scenes and if they could have been more fluid with that you would feel how bond is more human and he doesnt always win.

the plot:

besides it being unclear at first the plot was great but there were a lil bit too much left for you to think about. the plot was forever twisting and you were left unclear on whos bad and whos good. i mean its good to set up your next film that way but some scenes i was left like wtf?(the tazoring at the hospital) the should have taken baby steps in the plot twists and spread it out more so they could have more films along the same plot.

product placement:

two words. too much. we get that sony owns mgm now but you dont have to make bond a commercial for your crappy computers to sell. thats why we have commercials on tv to handle that.

the bond

Craig is in the top 3 with connery no doubt. you get the sense of bond being more human which is much needed because lets face it bond was on the verge of being super hero status with DAD and Craig breaks that with ease. Its easy to doubt him for his looks for the fact that he has none of the looks as bond is described in the book but craig brings the book bond to life. With great timing with the one liners all craig has to do to beat connery is to be consistant and not let the script writers bury you with bad writing (see Brosnans bond career for examples). Its good to see a fit bond and they clearly want us to see that with the countless shirtless scenes.my tip for the next one to bring even more to the table is this GIVE CRAIG MORE SPEAKING LINES!!!!! fighting and running can only get you so far and he steals the scenes from his co actors by his delivery of lines and his swagger sells it.

overall it gets a 4 out of 5 :) and its goingt o be a classic for sure. I hope to see Craig portray the motivating force behind him going after this organization in the next one....Cant wait

I agree with much of this well done.

The PP is appalling and not just SONY, notice all the cars in the crash scene at the beginning are Fords? They need to sort the PP out. In my view this is good first step to rehabilitate the series but it is by no means perfect.
