Have you seen any of Mads' other work? I was just wondering if you realize what a talented actor he is. Le Chiffre just barely scratches the surface!
I've been a fan for several years now and have seen almost everything he's done, except for his newest films that have yet to come out on DVD. He's only done 4 in English, but he has done so much more. Dramas, comedies, action....he does it all!

I think Pusher 2 is probably one of my favorites, that movie is all Mads. I think he's in nearly every scene.
There's not a lot available in the US. Netflix has a pretty good selection of his movies, though.

Easily the finest turn as a Bond bad guy since Robert Davi's, and one of the best of all time.

Yes, I thought his Le Chiffre was perfect. The NY Times had a story on him and it mentioned a reporter giving him a copy of Casino Royale. And what he thought of Flemings description of the character:
[quote]To interpret his character from scratch, he avoided watching the 1954 television version and 1967 feature-length spoof of

Yay! Another Mads fan!! Welcome, LongLiveLeChiffre!!!
Funny you should mention Unit One...I've been watching it for the last couple days. I just got my Volume 2 DVDs from Australia. Great series!! And I love Mads as Fischer! He's turning into one of my favorite Mads characters!

His stuff is kind of hard to get here unfortunately (at least for free from the library where I work hehe).. If Unit One is good and I can get it for a reasonable price on half.com or somewhere, I may go there next..
Yay Mads!

He was larger than life but not a cartoon figure as LeChiffre. LeChiffre had a cool/creepy look, face - mask like, Hitler haircut, scary scar plus weeping blood. He was a mix of cold bloodedness, greed, sadism, desperation and weakness. That lethal combination made him a more believable villan than many movie characters.

I've only seen him in King Arther and CR, you mention four English films I am Dina is one CR is the other whats the other one I can't access his Danish stuff not being able to read subtitles being visually impaired. Its a pity I'd love to see Unit one.
That would be Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself. A rather funny movie, but sad, too. Mads plays a small part of Horst, the psychiatrist.
BondGirl - If you look for Unit One be sure it's the Austalian release, the Danish version does not have English subtitles.

Plotline (from imdb.com):
Alfredo Lopez is a tired encyclopedia salesman, and Carmen is his faithful wife. The lives of this married couple change forever when the Montoya publishing house, in which Alfredo works, makes a proposal to them to make erotic films that will sold in the Scandinavian countries, under the guise of being a false encyclopedia about reproduction. Unknown to them both, Carmen has become an adult film star in the Northern countries, and a Danish crew flies in to help Alfredo make an Ingmar Bergman inspired feature film called "Torremolinos 73." Instead of a career in show business, Carmen is eager to have a baby, and the tension between the artist and his muse grows.
