I know this is a simple question, but what was the password 007 assigned to his winnings?

It sounded like he said VESEE (nothing close to VESPER), but it made her cry. So unless I heard it wrong, why would she be upset?

I didn't have any confussion about what he said but there were times in the movie where the audio was not particularly clear, but nothing that damaged the quality of the movie.

also, though I usually refrain from pointing out "gaffs" in good movies this thred would seem a good point to mention that the password bond types into the console before the game is NOTHING like VESPER and the last 3 digits (where we see bond type) seem to be 5-6-7 which would not spell vesper on the usual text keypad, infact it seems that the vesper touch may have been an after thought as we know changes were made to the plot once filming had commenced (not unusual for any film)

For a moment in the casino, I thought he would be playing Le Chiffre against himself and he used ELLIPSIS as a password to shake him, but soon it did dawn..awwww...he used V..E..S..P..E..R.

the better the movie the more you want to talk about it afterwards....and if all you can complain about is small details, then you know it was a good flick.

Overall great movie, and I look forward to buying it on DVD

To me it looked like he typed the correct numbers/letters on the keypad to spell Vesper both times. Maybe it was slightly incorrectly edited on some versions.

there were a few moments in the film where I felt Craig mumbled his dialogue... but nothing too serious...

Couldnt have been. The "Vesper" password has been present since at least the December draft (the one that circulated around last Summer.

As soon as he walked up the poker table to enter the password, I knew what it was going to be (and I hadn't read the script). When the man in the casino said 'It should be between 6 and 8 letters long', VESPER jumped into my head immediately.

A nice touch - cheesy, but nice.

He did type in the correct numbers/letters.

The previous posters in this thread are mistaken.

Perhaps JRocksIllini was watching one of the bootlegged copies?

I think just said it had to be at least six letters long, so that leaves the possibility for many more options.

A good choice in 'VESPER' nonetheless though.

When the bank man said "six letters", you saw a smile creep across Bond's face saying "I know what I'll put here".

Some of the people I saw it with didn't know the name Vesper as well as we do. Even when he spells it they ask me after who's Vesper?
