Okay so I finally got to go and see Casino Royale this morning. How did I like it you ask?? It was absolutely FANTASTIC!! :) :) :P I had to take a couple of hours after I got home to think things over and to fully digest every single minute of 007 bliss that I experienced.. I think that now I can safely say that this is THE BEST Bond film to be released in quite some time ( and it overtakes my previous favorite recent film, Tomorrow Never Dies by miles!!) [censored] Martin Campbell has done a fabulous job with this, and I think Casino Royale overtakes Goldeneye (which I didn't think would be possible!!) [censored] Bravo Martin!! Please come back for Bond 22!!

And now to the rest of the cast and film:

Daniel Craig: Just bloody brilliant as James Bond..I seriously think he's going to overtake Pierce Brosnan as my favorite Bond (after Sean Connery of course, but Daniel is a very close 2nd!!)

Mads Mikkelsen: Just superb as Le Chiffre!! The tension between him and Bond during the Poker game has got to be ranked right up there with Connery's Bond vs. Largo in Thunderball!! I really felt nervous and tense during these scenes!

Eva Green: Wow! A terrific Vesper Lynd!! I would have to say that she portrayed the character wonderfully well and the relationship between her and Bond was as good as, if not better than George Lazenby and Diana Rigg in OHMSS!!

Judi Dench: WOW! She has brought the character of M to a whole new level!! And surprisingly I didn't find myself missing Moneypenny or Q (though I would love to have them back in the next film!).

The gunbarrel and title sequence: Very classic title sequence done excellently by Daniel Kleinman and I did like the new gunbarrel very much indeed! I hope they continue with the new style for Bond 22 (but go back to having the gunbarrel start the pre-titles)..

The action sequences: What a relief to find NO CGI in any of the action scenes. I thought they were all done very well, especially the Miami International and Venice sequences!. I was a tad concerned that the sinking house in Venice would be over the top (a la the crashing plane in Die Another Day), but my fears were laid to rest!!

Loved Michael Wilson's cameo as the Police chief!! and I noticed in the credits, his elder son David was an assistant producer and his younger brother Gregg, my classmate in high school, was an assistant editor!! Gregg was also the script supervisor on Die Another Day!! I'm so jealous!! Next time I see Gregg, I'll have to see if he can get me a part in the next Bond movie!! lol. [censored]

A couple of other thoughts: No, this movie was NOT too long!! How can people be complaining about that?? Also this does NOT, repeat, does NOT feel like a Jason Bourne movie, so everyone can relax.

Can't remember any favorite lines (still digesting all the action and glamour ect.) but I'll be seeing Casino Royale again in a day or two so I can comment further after that..

Til then, I rank this movie 10 out of 10 and give Daniel Craig an A+ for his debut as James Bond!! [censored] :P

Just got home from my second viewing of Casino Royale. I loved it even more!! :P I'm beginning to have a better picture of how I would rank it in with the 20 previous films.. I believe its the best Bond film since For Your Eyes Only and could even become my all time #1 favorite, knocking off my current favorite, You Only Live Twice!! However as its still pretty new it'll take more time for me to fully decide. I am SO looking forward to Bond 22. I turn 30 in 2008 and Bond 22 will be a great birthday present, even if it comes out a few months after my birthday! :P :)

I actually think they outbourned Bourne one step, by the very clever use of high tech technology integration in the film. Bond is the leader once again.

Well, as it only opened today in my country, and everything has probably already been said about it, I'm only going to say that I loved it, it really delivered, and our beloved secret agent couldn't be in better hands for the time being (Daniel Craig).
