I guess to me it's the 21st Bond film. End of. I never thought of TND coming after GE, or OP coming after FYEO.

Sure, I might see Connery as never having been married in YOLT, but imagine him as a widower in DAF. But that's about it.

I can't really be bothered to think about this much. It is what it is. And it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think it's up to each individual Bond fan. We all have our reasons for the lack of continuity in YOLT-OHMSS-DAF. I think Casino Royale works as sitting just before Dr No, and it will be interesting to see if there is any continuity between Daniel Craig's last 007 outing and the first of whoever replaces him.
