1. Do you feel that you succeeded in bringing Fleming's Bond to the screen?

2. Why do you think Licence to Kill was somewhat of a failure?

3. Why did you turn down the role for GoldenEye?

1.) How was it like working with Fran Drescher in the comedy The Beautician and the Beast?

2.) I've noticed you have been starring in period pieces, westerns and etc. as opposed to modern action films and thrillers. Have you grown to love, enjoy and prefer making those type of films?

3.) Is there any actor and actresses you would like to work with in the future? (Personally, I would love to see you do something with Anthony Hopkins or Patrick Stewart)

First, welcome back 007luvc :)

Questions:

If you had been asked to come back during the six year gap, would you have?

Do you still take an interest in Bond?

Of the two you did, which do you feel is the better movie?

Since there is still a lot of controversy about the Dalton era, I'd ask:

1. Please clear up when in 1986 you were actually approached to play Bond and was Pierce Brosnan actually signed before you?

2. Stories have appeared that said MGM executives did not want you to play the Bond role in what became GoldenEye. Albert Broccoli said you would stay in the role. You claim you left of your own free will. Which story is true?

3. There is a lot of controversy over your stint as Bond. Some fans love your style, others hate it; there seems to be little or no middle ground on your interpretation. Do you feel you were successful in the role and do you get positive feedback from people you meet or do they feel you were more of a Lazenby than a Connery, Moore or Brosnan?

First, thanks to M_Balje for starting this topic, (I was getting around to it...) and welcome back to 007luvchild.

1) You have twice stepped into immensely popular male roles: James Bond and Rhett Butler. Are you attracted to iconic roles and how do you work on making them your own?

2) What attracts you to the work of the Bronte sisters?

3) Would you ever consider doing a television series, either in the US or the UK?

Now its my turn :)

1) Despite all the years since your last Bond film, if asked back for one last time, would you do it?

2) What is your opinion of Brosnan as Bond?

3) If you knew then about how the general public would react to your portrayal of Bond, would you have done anything different? More lighthearted perhaps?

1. Are you flatterd by the response you have had by Bond fans to your performance as Bond?
2.Will you please come back and do one more Bond film...please?
3.Do you think that the Bond producers made the right decision in giving LTK a 15 certificate?

1. How do you think you will be remembered?

2. With the benefit/danger of hindsight, do you regret taking the Bond role and if not, why not? (OK, so that's two questions).

3. Had there not been an interregnum, how do you think your Bond wold have developed?

1. Why do you think Flash Gordon didn't make you a star?
2. When will you team up with George Lazenby for that buddy comedy you both should do?
3. Why didn't you pay the producers for them to have you NOT play James Bond?

He didn't 'pay the producers for them to have you NOT play James Bond' because that would be very stupid, and Dalton enjoyed the part. Plus he was brilliant in it.

If he enjoyed the part so much, why didn't it show on screen and when he was talking about the movie. When people were asking him about the movie, why did he look like he didn't want to be there? If the man enjoyed the part, Bondpurist, maybe he was a better actor than we all think!

maybe he's the owner of a serious personality? Connery doesn't always look like or even sound like hes interested or excited when promoting his films.

And as for how dalton looks... The guy looks like a wolf, seriously look at his eyes, that's why he's take on the character comes across as so serious. He actually looks like you could strap a gun on him, give him an assignment and he could go out and do it.

You want a guy who looks like a wolf, try Connery in movies like The Hunt For Red October. He looks as if he could rip Dalton into little pieces. Dalton, despite being very tall in real life, looks no taller than Michael J Fox in his Bond movies, and that's because he doesn't have a very good screen presence. It's no wonder he does the majority of his work on the stage!

What's next for you?

What's your favourite piece of work

How glad were you not to be attached to GoldenEye and what did you think of Bond when watching Die Another Day.

Just one question - How do you feel about Alan Partridge when he said of you being Welsh, "the name's Bond, Jones the Bond"

1. Don't you think that Connery was too fat in DAF?
2. Didn't that script really suck?
3. Don't you think you should've been Bond then, even if you had been 7 years old, and while you're at it, write a better script??
