Casino Royale :)
Bond goes back to basics in his best outing since GoldenEye and perhaps ever...

First 5-star review, I believe. Great news! Although, I'm not too familiar with Mansized and/or how credible it is.

Still though, another great review!

This is getting so many good reviews that it's becoming ridiculous. In a good way.

Makes me wonder if the "Oscar Nomination" rumors were true!

Not sure about an Oscar. I don't think the voters will give the film a chance, for the simple reason that it's a James Bond movie.

Remember, these are the same people who nominated Johnny Depp for Best Actor for Captain Jack Sparrow in POTC, the epitome of the OTT corporate blockbuster.

If Craig is as spectacular as the reviews say he is, and with the respect that he has in critical circles for past performances, I could definitely see him at least garnering Oscar consideration for Best Actor for the role.

Can't comment intelligently on Oscar chances, but having just seen the film, I can say this: Craig is the best actor since Connery (and maybe even better, though it pains me to say so) to don the tux. You won't be disappointed!

Craig is a fantastic choice for the role, with a psychotic glint in his eye and a fearsome physique that makes him the most believable Bond to date.

Perfect!

Yet another great review!!

I am thrilled at yet another good review, :) the next five days are going to be so long, oh as for running time I don't mind this one being a long one.

ernie - I asked during your diary account whether you thought you'd be able to distance yourself from the production when you actually came to see the finished product.

So, what was it like? Could you just 'see' the film, or were you distracted by production days, scenes filmed but not included, memories - at least during your spell there?

Cheers.

Tissues? Sounds like we're all of a certain age :-)

Thanks for the welcome. So I guess the chat here is of the next Bond installment. Anywhere I can catch up with the latest? Cheers, W

There are quite a few news stories on BOND 22 (as we like to call the upcoming movie) which may help you catch up here. Also, if you have a little browse of the forums, you may find pieces of info there. Enjoy!

Not everyone. I'm an old git with an adolescent sense of humour. :cooltongue:

Pretty much so. However, we discuss all things Bond and Beyond.

Cheers,
