Amazing what you stumble across at Amazon while conducting a book search. :)

The blurb on the back reads:

Think Catherine Zeta Jones knows what she wanted to get into? I'll bet she had no idea she were to play a lesbian if she took the part.:)

She probably would have done it anyway...sometimes playing something so against yourself can be fun.

That being said....I didn't realize that Jane was the man's sister's. His family just keeps growing, and growing, and growing....

I'm with you, Hardyboy. :)

I'm surprised though that you didn't pick up on the fact that the author has also written mystery stories about the Hardly Boys.

I don't know which way to take that title, Hardly Boys. There's the way I want to take it, and then I'm secretly wondering if it means another way.

MODERATORS NOTE: Merged thread follows.

I just came across this book on BN.com called "KISS THE GIRLS AND MAKE THEM SPY" (not a bad title). Check out the description of the plot.

From the Publisher:
Sometimes the Best Bond for a Job is a Jane ... Jane Bond.
"What's the story on Bond?"
"Your man is a homicidal depressive paranoiac," the doctor reported.
"I know that. I want to know what's wrong with him! And be straight with me, man. No medical mumbo jumbo."
"He's lost his nerve."

N. had suspected as much. After a long while spent staring at the jagged skyline of London, N. came to a decision. He had no other choice but to go through with Pumpernickel's ridiculous plan.

Enter Bond, Jane Bond, James's lesbian twin sister and haoless bookstore employee, who steps in to masquerade as her brother at an awards ceremony with the queen. But when the dastardly Sons of Britain (S.O.B.s), a nefarious fraternity plotting to bring the Duke and Duchess of Windsor back to power, show up, it's up to some unexpected heros to save the day. The Powder Puff Girls — makeup salespersons by day, secret agents by night — step in to secure the future of Britain while Jane keeps her brother's reputation intact...both in and out of the bedroom!

Hey don't get me wrong, I'm not being obnoxious :) but I THINK that Blofeld's Cat mentioned something about this (Bond's lesbian twin sister) a while back.

Sorry about that Cat. I didn't remember reading this. If I have anything more to say about this book, I'll say in in your thread. :)

That's OK, John. I didn't bother merging the two threads because mine was so old. We should all continue with this thread I feel.

I just wonder where the literary copywrite laws work in this case?

Refering to the book, not this thread.

Whilst in Sydney last week I managed to pick up the latest instalment in this series, although it's the only one I've come across and bought.

As far as I'm concerned it's as non-canon in literary Bond as the Quinn Fawcett novels on Ian Fleming.

The Girl With The Golden Bouffant....

You will persist in buying lesbian fiction, Brett. Why not do a review?

It's when the series gets round to Octopussy that things might get interesting.

"...highly trained girls..."

Excuse me a moment. I need to powder my nose.
