The plan right now, according to Craig, is to get everyone together in January and hammer out ideas for the next film.

Have they ever done this before? I mean, include the actor so heavily in the plans for the next film?

Wow, it seems like they're really trying hard to make these movies as amazing as they could be. I'm impressed.

As far as including the actor in plotting out the next movie, I say why not? Actors are storytellers just as writers. Living with the character, I'm sure as fine an actor as DC will have some ideas that are valid.

I am definitely for it in this instance. I sincerely hope they take their time in developing the revamped Bond. Now that I've seen what Craig does with Bond, I don't want to ever see a light, fluffy, raise-an-eyebrow-and-a-building-explodes Bond again. It was great for it's time, but now we have a traditional, faithful adaptation of not only Fleming's story, but Fleming's protagonist. Easily the most faithful since Sean, and who knows how much Craig will improve upon his own fantastic performance. EON pulled a big surprise out of their hat with this well-done film, and I hope this focus stays.

Very interesting! So, will it, or will it not be SPECTRE in Bond.22?

I like the direction so far.

I'm loving this direction. Bond 22 is already sounding like it is going to be a very interesting Bond film.

The more we get closer to release date, the more I get the feeling Barbara and Dan will end up together, and Craig will be Bond for the next 45 years.

this is sounding better each day. :P

Eon is taking this new era of Bond real seriously, and that is NICE, really NICE. :)

Exactly what I had hoped for :) Getting Craig involved in the creative process is something that can only be seen as positive as well in my opinion. Great to see.

Interesting. Like on lots of occasions in the past where Eon rehash ideas abandoned in previous movies.

This reminds me of the plan to have the Falco character reappear after Die Another Day, as well as the so-called "Blofeld-like" character who was said to reappear as well.

I'm hoping that the new unnamed threat will be both original and anticipate the direction IF seemed to be taking Bond in the final book TMWTGG. I've read here and agreee, that IF appeared to be incorporating a more mature world view into that novel and that it was in fact a reboot for the literary 007. I'm not asking for much. Just the most excellent job the creative team can do.

The return of a modern SPECTRE and Blofeld would be interesting--they just re-introduced us to Bond in CR, why not his historic arch-nemesis in Bond 22?

Another post-CR thought: we never got to see Lazenby's Bond work out the death of Tracy, it really got lost in the DAF/Connery's back/comedy Bond shuffle. For the first time, we'll get to see a fully-realized reaction to one of the two siginificantly defining relationships for Bond, and that ain't bad! :)

Go EON!

All very interesting stuff. I was under the impression that they started working on the script 18 months ago - is there really any more need for brainstorming.

When it comes to Bond22 I want Paul Haggis back on the script and Martin Campbell back at the helm. I wasn't so sure about MC before I saw CR but he did an excellent job - I'd love to see him return. But even more than that I would like Haggis to be involved again!

Yeah, I wouldn't mind him returning as well. He did a very nice job with Purvis and Wade for Casino Royale!

Very interesting view, it's not my fave novel and I haven't re-read for decades, but going back on it, the opening scenes are amazing, I'm going to re-read the rest with that in mind.
