I actually rewatched this scene this morning, and what gets me is Moore's facial expression.. he watches two healthy men crumble to the floor and takes the vial out of his pocket, glances at it quizzingly, does this eye brow raise that seems to say "hmmmmm nerve gas.. who woulda thought???" and puts it back in his pocket :)

:P LOL...

I thought as the scientist groped at the glass through which Bond was looking, Rog had a slight sense of horror on his face...

They actually don't show Moore's expression, and it's never clear whether or not the scientist is sliding down the glass in front of Bond or not.. when the air seals take effect on the door, he does look disturbed, but overall, he isn't that freaked out about the whole thing..

I agree with whoever said this scene is just a set up for the fight in the next.. when the samurai shows up... right before they shoot lazers in space :P

Stupid Moonraker gah!

But..

But...

But they were eeeeeevil scientists. And balding. And therefore deserved everything they got. They were very ugly anyway so Drax would have had them jettisoned into space in any event, or left on Earth to die horribly, so not a problem.

That reminds me of Sandor and Jaws in TSWLM, Sandor has no special powers and looks like cueball so his status is even below henchman so he's already fated to die (could've used his head as a ramming device) meanwhile Jaws is immortal, because well he's Jaws dammit, holding dominion over sharks and brushing himself off after every crumbling/crashing situation. :)

Well. I feel more sorry for the "pet python" than those two idiots who did not use any facial protection, moving around some dangerous substance. And who the deuce cleaned it up?.

The Python couldn't have read the script. How could it. It wasn't an English speaking python.

Bastards, I say. :)

I rewatched YOLT last night, and there are a lot of relatively innocent scientists that die.. can you see the job description?? Entry level positions available in a growing technology firm.. full benefits, apply at the hollowed out volcano :)

Poor bastards had no idea Blofeld was going to be there and he'd bring a whole pile of piranahs with him :P

He-he. Somewhere I made a post on a kind of 'job application' for a Bond villain, but I'll be crapped to know where it is. :P

He probably thought they were travel vials of martini and was nabbing one for the walk home. Good think he saw what that liquid was capable of!

Did he notice that during his fight with Chang?
