With all this voodoo talk, I thought I'd reaquaint myself with Live and Let Die tonight. :)

I maybe slow but I think I've just twigged onto something. When Bond introduces Quarrel Junior to Rosie Carver on the boat (Eliott's long distant cousin? :) ) with: "meet the man who shares my hairbrush", is this a reference to who he signals to in the bungalow earlier on?

It looks like a hair brush with an antenna, but I thought it may have been a clothes brush at first.

Your assumption is correct. When Bond says, "..the man who shares my hair brush..", he's referring to the Q brush that he used in his hotel room to send a morse code message to Quarrel.

It's amazing the things some people pick up on and others that just go right on by.
I of course heard that line in LALD but had never made the connection. I thought it was just Moore being silly and flippant!

Never got that "hairbrush". German version says something about "toothbrush". Didn't get to see any original version until I got a DVD player (and now that %*&%&**** thing doesnt work any more).
But LALD was on TV yesterday. Did anyone notice that:
In the hotel scene, he leaves the cigar in the bathroom after killing the snake, but has it in his hands again it just seconds later to make Rosie drop the gun...
