They gave it a backdoor pilot, but it turns out that putting the lead-in to your series in a Superman movie doesn't quite work out the way it's supposed to (I'm looking at you, Richard Pryor!)...How 'bout a series called Lawman on the Bayou featuring the adventures of J.W.
