Can someone please explain this situation to me,was this a big deal back in 1981 of a transexual being in a bond film?

Not sure what needs explaining. As far as I'm aware, most blokes, rightly or wrongly, prefer a woman not to have had a penis.

Well i prefer my girl not to have had a penis as well but what i mean is i was reading some articles and they all made it sound like it was a big deal when this WO(man) was in the movie for like 10 seconds. I mean it got to the point to where some people said she had love scenes so obviously some people blew it out of proportion.

Yes, the extent of his/her screentime was blown all out of proportion. I know Tula was in the publicity photos from the Gonzales pool scene, but I don't know if Tula is acutally seen in the film. I haven't spotted him/her if that is the case, which is fine by me. (I know that Laoura Hadzivageli--who is one of the pool girls--isn't in the film, at least in an identifiable way, according to Tim Greaves' The Bond Women 007 Style.) Regardless, it would have been better--and certainly less embarrassing for the Bond folks/fans--had Tula not been hired.

Tula is in the film, very briefly, during the Gonzales pool scene. I'm surprised she hasn't done the convention scene yet.

The ironic thing is that for a long time I thought the she-male was the helicopter pilote in Moonraker (corinne?). I was very relieved when I found out it wasn't.
