I don't think we are doing anything wrong - I've done a couple of searches on the net and they are available in various forms on other forum sites too.
Thanks again.

In that case, here are the complete samples from the smirnoff site:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t8gkyo
Enjoy! (I hope we aren't breaking any rules)
Did anyone notice that when these are downloaded, the music for each track seems to cut in and cut out? Its like you may hear the first 30 seconds of a track and then it seems to be silent for the next minute before fading back in. I don't think this was supposed to be intentional was it?
The first two tracks pb 007 bass and pb 007 bond gtr seem to be particularly bad.

Never mind all. I am incredibly slow. It must be this -35 degree Celcius temperatures that we are experiencing up here today. I understand that they are all the different parts that compose the full mix (ie bass, drums, orchestra, etc.)
I really shouldn't post anything further until my brain thaws out.
Sorry

Hello everyone -
I have attempted to recreate the trailer using the samples supplied for the remix contest. Unfortunately, upon looking at the actual trailer - there are some elements that were obviously excluded from the remix contest. Specifically, the strings at the beginning, a few snippets of the bond theme performed by low strings, and the orchestral "hits" during the section where bond says "I've no armor left" ect. ect. ect.
I have done my best to recreate these using Garageband

Also, I think if you search Google for "save videos from youtube" you'll see how to do it. I'm on a Mac, so I'm WMV-challenged.
Bill007, Thanks for the video link. I couldn't get it to load (maybe problems with youtube, maybe that whole "mac" thing again...), but as long as it's in it's original form, I am honored to be up there!
Look for an updated version of my "You Know My Name" Music Video soon!

Val -- Try clicking twice on the U-Tube pic. Yes, I left it exactly as you made it. Great work.

It really irks me when people do that - say I've got something and then just go quiet. It's like electronic raspberry blowing.
If you want the track still (and it is very good!), I've posted a copy here: Casino Royale Trailer Music.
Enjoy!
(I don't think I am infringing any copyright restrictions as it is the same file that was freely available for download from the Smirnoff website).
Commander Bob, thank you, you've just made an old man very happy! I was overjoyed to learn this "loved it the moment I heard it" piece was available at the Smirnoff site, then crestfallen to find out I'd arrived at the party too late. Happiness returns as I've ported this straight to my iPod. Thanks again!

As this is old news I'd doubt that Smirnoff even have the related site active anymore, and therefore it would be hard to access the files now. A Google search might reveal that these files could still be available from various file sharing sites such as Rapidshare or Megaupload. Then again it may not.
Having said that we at CBn don't wish our site to become such an on demand file sharing location. Please keep that in mind. Cheers.

I'm sorry if I caused concern, I wasn't necessarily asking for file share, but I suppose ultimately that's what I was!
All I wanted were the original files for mixing my own cut for a mate's video for a bestman's speech.
I've already downloaded and recut Valentin Ice's excellent mix and reposted it here (I have given props to you, Val, although I couldn't remember your name!) but I wondered if I could do something a little different off my own back.
Sorry for any concern once again.
Tony Villiers.

No probs at all, TV.
The first part of my post (about the original Smirnoff files not being available) was a direct response to your comment, while my last paragraph was directed at all members.

I've googled them and there are links out there, but they are all dead. It seems no one kept the files once they downloaded them.
I even tried contacting the people involved but the emails no longer work.
Cheers
TV.
