[Agent Spriggan Ominae]

There's a pic of him in Bond on set and he looks exactly as described in the script with the Panama hat and darkened lense. He looks like an old school villain. He wouldn't look too out of place in a Connery Bond film. They really have gone old school. It's classic Bond and Bond on Set is well worth looking into but there are lots of spoilers in the book.

That's him alright. Just throw on a panama hat and a pair of glasses with the left lense darkend. The pic in Bond on set is of Gettler holding Vesper hostage with the stilleto to her throat. She's wearing the red dress and there's a third unseen villain behind them holding the silver case.

Wow excellent stuff The unseen villain could perhaps be a 'tall man' I would guess!

Frankly said, I've never heard of him. Seems to work a lot in France, was in some successful movies there: Le Hussard sur le toit, Taxi, and funnily, the 007 spoof OSS 117, wheras his work in Germany is mostly TV stuff and Theater. Never noticed him in any of the TV series in his profile.

Born 1960 in Heidelberg, lives in Berlin and Paris, speaks English, French, Italian. Experienced in Wrestling and Judo.

To be honest, not a name that I've ever heard mentioned before in relation to CASINO ROYALE, but he seems to have similar backgrounds to Ludger Pistor, Jurgen Tarrach, etc, so you may have come across him there? Looks to be a good choice though - a suspicious feeling to him.

I picked mine up at my local Barnes and Nobles. I called them last night when I saw it shipping on their main site and low and behold they had a few copies in the store.

Great casting for Gettler. I think Harmsway is right when he says the look of CR is outstanding.

I think I rember this actor from the first Taxi film (The french version). Should make a decent henchman...Like a cross between Freddy Kruger and the Gestapo agent from Raiders Of the Lost Ark
