Doubt it to be honest. I'd fully expect him to deliver the line as it always has been. I guess it was probably just a typo - there are several factual, grammatical and spelling errors in that draft.

I would say the 'period', or 'full stop' is a pause.

So he'll say. Bond [pause] James Bond. :)

Whether he'll say it as that, we'll have to wait and see.

Cheers,

Ian

I just hope it's a casual, all business delivery, not like Brosnan's "wait for applause" way of doing it.

I expect it will be perfect. A pity he has to say it. Would be nice if they left it for the next one.

maybe it's "Bond. James...Bond."

the comma may imply a slight pause, as sort of an emphasis on a casual approach to the line. i could see it like this, however it may just be a typo.

guess we'll have to wait and see...

:)

please arrive soon, November 17.

I imagine that whoever wrote it had the impression that there should be a slight pause before the Bond due to an emphasis on James.

Unlike Brosnan's "Bond" 8 seconds later "James Bond" in TWINE, He usally left the gap for 2 - 3 seconds, which annoyed me too.

I originally thought it was a typo...but when I thought about it, I thought the pause could have been intentional, as that line is a throwback to the embassy where he simply says the names Bond and now they would want to put emphasis on the James. Just a thought...

SO the last line of the movie is not the same last line from the book? :) just currious.

While I haven't read the script, I understand that the final line is actually:

Now, is it just me, or is the
Spoiler
unnecessary and impact-blunting? ('course, we'll have to see how it's actually delivered and everything.) Wouldn't it be more powerful to just end with
Spoiler
?

An emphasis on the "James" part will absolutely rule if done. An unique delivery, and integral to the story.

No - that particular last line from the book is in the movie, but in the penultimate scene, not the final one.

I'm just gagging to see this. It sounds so incredibly good.

I fear, along with someone who started a thread about it, that CR may simply be to good to top. But who cares!!
