Having not seen Batman Begins yet (yeah, I know), I couldn't really vote for The Dark Knight. The rest struck me as mediocre to crap, so there you go.

I'm surprised Indy 4 doesn't rank higher than it does.
I'm not. Does anyone believe it's ever actually going to be made?
Of the films on that list, I'll see AVATAR (it's the new James Cameron, right?) and, obviously, BOND 22. THE DARK KNIGHT and maybe STAR TREK will get my money if the buzz around them is extremely good. Not interested in any of the others.

I have faith after seeing Harrison Ford say on TV, in an interview, that he was 98% sure of it being made (or was it 99.8% - who cares). Doesn't mean it will be so... but it gives me hope.

The current poll on the front page of ComingSoon is "Which 2008 movie are you anticipating the most?" One of the choices is "James Bond 22". At the moment it's only gotten 1.7% of 7733 votes.
Bit meaningless though, isn't it? Considering that most of the other films on the poll have a cast, some plot details, and yes, ACTUAL TITLES, its moot. And as usual for online polls, fanboy/geek movies like Halo and Hellboy 2 skew higher than they would with the general public.

I'm sorry guys, but for 2008, I'm looking forward to THE DARK KNIGHT more than BOND 22.
At the moment I feel the same. Maybe because TDK comes out earlier and we know a bit more about what it will be about. Still Batman in summer, Bond in winter! I'm a happy camper!

True. A win-win situation.

I don't care at all about "Avatar", "Where the Wild Things Are", "Madagascar 2", "Horton Hears a Who", "The Tale of Despereaux", "The Spiderwick Chronicles", or "Inkheart". Though half of them I know nothing about.
I will see "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", "Star Trek XI", and "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army" theatrically, but there's no real level of anticipation. I'll probably see "Halo", since I just got into the game (long after most). I'll catch "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" on DVD, even though, despite being a fan of the books when I was little, I found "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" torturous to sit through. I'll see "Indiana Jones 4", but as much as I enjoy the Indiana movies I just can't get too excited about watching Ford play Grumpy Old Indy.
I will see and am looking forward to "The Dark Knight" and "Iron Man"...
but when the vote choice has to be made, the one I really care about is "James Bond 22". The others don't matter as long as there's Bond.

I'm looking forward to The Dark Knight, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Star Trek XI, Indy 4, Halo (I know, a video game movie, But I do love the game, and have hopes that Peter Jackson having a hand in it and the lack of Uwe Boll directing might make a winner), and, of course, Bond 22.
But in the end I voted for Indy 4, cause I just love to see the return of it after so many years (even with 'grumpy old Indy ).

Out of interest, and I'm not exactly sure where I got this idea from, but was the title AVATAR rumoured for a Bond film at some point?

How about 'Colonol Sun' or 'For Special Services'? I think those would be good-especially 'For Special Services', just make Cedar Felix's sister, and make the organization the same one Bond chases in CR. With Colonol Sun, have him kidnap M b/c of his failed coup. or one he stages. Just a thought.
If we haven't seen the Gardner titles used by now, though...
But who knows. It's been how many years since an official adaption of Casino Royale was made, and we're finally getting that this year.

Official? 53 years It's also the second movie they made after acquiring the license (1999). I don't think that has anything to do with the Gardner/Benson/Amis titles. We've been over all this before. Zencat and I talked about it here not long ago and there are older threads devoted to it.

Yeah. I'm amped for THE DARK KNIGHT because I know what it's about, who's in it, and who's handling it. It's at the top of my "Most Anticipated" list at this point. At the moment I feel the same. Maybe because TDK comes out earlier and we know a bit more about what it will be about. Still Batman in summer, Bond in winter! I'm a happy camper!

I don't really have much to go on about whether or not I should be excited for BOND 22 other than it's being another Bond film with Craig (which is exciting, but for me to get really amped, I need more information).

(Though as a Trek fan I do look forward to it)
Indy4 and Batman, too? Should be a great movie year for me.
