Sean's Other Movie Successes

It just seemed to me that most he did in the 60s or 70s were flops. I know stuff like The Rock was successful, but can't really think of any from the 80s that were big for him apart from maybe The Untouchables.

Are you kidding me????
No, I wasn't kidding, just struggling to remember. I wasn't suggesting Sean hadn't had any hits in the 80s, but I wondered if anyone had the figures to show which were his successes.
The 1960s and 70s outside of Bond wasn't so good for him at the box office. The Man Who Would Be King is a great movie, but was it a hit?
Anyway thanks to Ry for the figures, and all the rest who picked up on Sean's winners.
I raised this topic out of curiosity, but I often find that I prefer some of his movies that didn't do so well, such as Marnie, The Hill, The Anderson Tapes.

Sean Connery has had lots of successful movies in the eighties and nineites:
The Rock
Entrapment
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
the Hunt for Red October
Not to mention is cameo in the monster hit "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves." Lots of people went to that movie, in part, to see him.
And I would count the Highlander movies, but they are more cult hits than commerical successes.
And those are only the ones that immediately come to my mind...there have been others.

The only figure I am good with, is my own.

There's a joke there somewhere, with perfectly rounded as the punchline, but I guess that one's been done.

Rising Sun
Dragonheart
The Russia House
The Name Of The Rose
Among others did pretty well for themselves.

The Man Who Would Be King
I just saw it last weekend, and it was great. Didn't like his beard or sideburns (or whatever they were supposed to be), though. It was made in '73 or '75, I think.

You beat me by 1minute! I was just about to come and post about this.
You're right, it's a fantastic film. Very gritty and realistic, yet has an enthralling storyline.
