Think how many people most likely have promo cd's right now. And how many will those be uploaded onto the internet? Um, all of them. It's to be expected.

The thing is, he hasnt done anything here on this board. He sent it to someone's email. That doesnt concern the board at all, theres no information on how to get it on here.

hey, "fro" ... i'm at work while i'm doing this, and i HAVE to bounce in and out ... and watch your language!

to explain a few things about promo c.d.s ... record promoters send out singles and hope that we will play them ... often. the station i work for is playing it this afternoon on the program director's shift. since this is by chris cornell, i also expect thet every rock station will have it on air as soon as they receive it.

i admit i don't know the legalities involved with putting it on a website. perhaps i raced into this, but it's exciting to get something new before everyone else has it.

Hey, I was trying to defend you by saying you have a long posting history here (and thusly probably wouldn't make stuff up).

Mods, I think the best thing to do would just be to zap this entire thread, and maybe replace it with one talking about the single being sent to radio stations.

But I certainly understand that our wonderfull staff and Mods here at CBN don't want to get into any legal trouble.. so I guess I'll just have to be paitent and start scanning in on all our Rock stations here in Colorado Springs... either that or hope that Sony puts the song up on the official CR website!

I read this on the BBC website a while back when researching copyright laws.

So if someone sends me the song, I could make an appropriate 28ish second mp3 clip of the track (of the best part, obviously), which could be uploaded and there would be no legal issues with it whatsoever.

Or someone else who already has the track could do it, either way is good.
