As far as I can see, no actor has been officially signed to play the role of Gettler yet.

Do we know if the "December draft Gettler" is still Gettler in the film? Can the scriptname Gettler be something of a smokescreen, preventing the "unofficial" scriptreaders (us) to gain knowledge of the factual betrayal of a certain double agent?

Or have I missed something in casting news or script development?

Oh? I was convinced that Wolpert was changed to Leiter.

EDIT: Did you mean that Leiter would be a double agent? I'm actually thinking that the planted seed of Mathis betrayal would turn out be a fact and Gettler would infact be Mathis. Probably not, since Mathis is a good guy in the same caliber as Leiter, it would be slaughter to make him bad. Anyway, the Gettler question, has me puzzled...

This has been mentioned a couple of times before in the last few months; as we understand, the character of Gettler is still in the movie, according to call sheets from shooting in Venice. Guess that the role may not have been cast when the other cast was revealed, and that the producers felt there wasn't much need to unveil the actor separately.

EDIT: Oops, I just found the earlier thread
discussing the Gettler carachter. I just scanned the topics before starting this new one, never performed a search.

Question: Are the call sheets available for viewing on the internet?

On the second or third page, there is a note saying that the actor playing Gettler has to travel from Paris to Venice for filming. It doesn't name the actor though.

I noticed that. Infact more than just callsheets but actual pages of the storyboard. Last I looked I didn't see any but they've had some from the Madagascar chase and I think the bit where Vesper is abuducted and some of the casino stuff. I'm just waiting for anything releating to the MIA sequence!

He only appears in Venice. He is never mentioned or seen anywhere before that.
