Owen was Considered but turned it down

I just read the side article about Clive Owen approving of Daniel as Bond. That's class right there, even if Clive was my first choice and he never was considered or wanted the part, and YET he can approve of Daniel then that's good enough for me.
Well, this post is real class too. I know we've had our disagreements in the past, but I'm glad to say welcome back, I was wondering where you buggered off to

Clive Owen may have been too old for the Bond Begins story but that couldn't have been the reason for not approaching Hugh Jackman (I know you didn't state that was the case). He's younger than Daniel Craig. EON undoubtedly preferred to go after an unknown or less established (and cheaper) star.
Actually, Hugh Jackman is the same age as Craig (if you want to get technical though, Craig is younger by 6 months).
