Watch the trailer where the camera pans over the top of the poker table, it is sped up as used in DAD and John Woo films.

To me this feels totally o0ut of place for both this kind of scene and also Martin Campbell films in general, he never uses that ever.

Has this been sped-up just for the trailer? by the trailer people, as we know it's different people who make them.

Is there any way to tell?

I would have thought it was exclusive to the trailer, and I automatically assumed so whilst watching it. The two shots (joined by the 'swoosh') don't match up - Bond's hands are in different places, and the player next to Bond seems to gain more cards.

It doesn't look bad for the trailer, but it just hits me as very out of place for a classy, quiet casino scene.

I did click through the shot slowly on my real player and noticed that Infante (the big African deposed dictator) moves considerably which suggests the shot was not set up to be sped up.

I don't believe it is because, other than the situation, it's something Martin Campbell never does. Also they are trying to get away from the Die Another Day, popcorn action flick image.

One thing I would like to mention is how supremely impressed I am with the cinematography for this film, the Leone style extreme close up on Le Chiffre's eyes will work brilliantly with the card game for oozing out the suspense and subtle acting skills of the cast involved, theere are a number of lovely fluid full body shots of Bond and Vesper strolling through the casino and a number of really artistic shots such as the close up behind Vesper tied up in the road and the one underneath Valenka swimming in the ocean.

The film will ooze style and really suck you in.

I'm sure this is not a shot for the trailer, but not one for the film too... they're two. :)

Well, the first even runs backwards (take a look at the to people in the left behind Bond) and the two shots don't fit together in the situation. I noticed that the playing cards on the table are different and much more.

It works for the trailer, but I don't think it will be used in the film this way.

I, Personally Wouldn't mind this to be included in the final movie, is looks alot cooler and easier to show Le-chiffre and Bonds Cards like this (But saying that i would not like it to be overused (Like DAD) maybe just one time only)

Yes, the "speed ramping" - as it's called in post circles - is effective for the trailer, but I doubt we'll see much (if any) in the final film.

at the end of the sequence DC looks smaller and 'pigmy like'. The bloke next to him is quite large so I don't like this sequence at all. They should have adjusted his seat or put a smaller extra next to him

I'd rather the film makers be honest and just let Craig be Craig, and not try to enhance his height by any means.

Who cares if the guy next to him is big. Some men are bigger than others. Big deal.

I hope that the speed-up is just for the trailer, but I fear that they might place this in the film. Anyone who thinks that all aspects of this film will be perfect is a fool (and no, I'm not accusing anyone of feeling this way).
