He is in fact seen before that point - in the shadows of the cricket ground in Pakistan. It is debatable whether you see his full face though.Dryden's office, prague, night, snowing outside. he's sitting in the shadows and eventually comes foreward so his face is half lit, half in shadow. Eventually you see it all at the crucial moment.

Sounds like a pretty good way to introduce him into the film.
I agree. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

In the new (second) TV Spot we see Bond in the elevator with the door closing. This seems to be in Prague. Eventually you see it all at the crucial moment.

Bond actually gets up and leaves before we cut back to Pakistan.
I don't recall this. I don't recall Bond having anything to do with the elevator to be honest. I think it says something like "heads for the door." I guess it depends on where the elevator is. I don't know.

Thats why i was a little disappointed at the boring way they introduced Moore in LALD...he simply opens the door for M and there he is...
Hang on - he was in bed with a pretty foreign agent - that's boring?

The draft that got leaked was only one of many revisions you know. Even if a line saying "Bond gets in the Elevator" wasnt in the script, that still doesnt mean Campbell couldnt have put it in the film, he's the director, he can do what he wants.

Maybe the elevator scene is set in London at M

Could be. That shot was shown in B&W in the teaser so I always assumed it was part of the PTS.
I think that was just so that it would fit in with the rest of the clips before the gunbarrel.
