I think they should use "THE LINE" in the promotional campaign.

Anyways, I think it should be used, I mean when has THE LINE not been used in the promotional campaign, it's what makes a Bond film a Bond film (more or less), in fact, if anything I think it should be the first shot we see of Craig in the full trailer. I realize the impact of the scene might be lost if it's revealed in the trailer, but on the other hand I think it'd make a great addition to the trailer.
What do you y'all think?

Allow me to make a prediction, they will use the line, and it will probably be at the beginning or the end of the trailer.

They can still feature a line from CASINO ROYALE that isn't *the* line, ala "The name's Bond" from the Madagascar section.

That would be a mistake I think. The first time the audience gets to see him say it should be within the movie where it is placed within the film for MAXIMUM IMPACT. They don't need to see him say it in the advertising. They know who he is.Even though I am posting this in the spoiler forum, I'm going to refrain from posting the context of how the line is used (I'm sure you can find out if you look around here though). But most of us who post in this forum are aware that it's featured in the final scene.

I think this is the best idea, if they use *the line* I think it will lose its impact in the final scene.
I do however agree with Jimmy in that I think the line is important for people to be able to accept Craig as Bond. CR is a Bond movie thats made alot of changes and people need something to cement Dan in their minds as Bond, him saying his name can do that.
So Just 'The Name's Bond' from the Madagascar scene, that'd be really good. That should be at the beginning of the trailer after all the introductory stuff, the Bond theme should roll on after he says that. IMO.

I don't know, he doesn't say it in the teaser trailer and everyone still knows who he is. Maybe a better idea would be to have other characters refer to his name, as they did there. Having him say the line in the advertising would seriously spoil that element of the movie. They can still feature a line from CASINO ROYALE that isn't *the* line, ala "The name's Bond" from the Madagascar section.

Umm, that scene isn't spoiling much. Using the clip of Bond say, "The name's Bond" (those three words are all he says) from the Madagascar sequence wouldn't spoil at all. Sure, to use the line in the context it finally appears would be spoiling it (it's an epic moment that I don't want to see until Nov. 17). But not the Madagascar moment? Nah.I don't know, he doesn't say it in the teaser trailer and everyone still knows who he is. Maybe a better idea would be to have other characters refer to his name, as they did there. Having him say the line in the advertising would seriously spoil that element of the movie.

I'd prefer it if they didn't to be honest. Think it wouldn't reduce the impact and significance of him saying it in the actual movie.could they film him saying Bond, James Bond just for the trailer - out of the context of the scene
