Best "Bond, James Bond" Delivery

I'll start.
#1 - In the Casino at the start of Dr. No (very cool and most memorable)
#2 - The unfinished "Bond, James..." when Bond is speaking to Tilly Masterson in GF (why, because it's pretty funny IMO)
Who said it best overall?
#1 - Connery
#2 - Dalton
#3 - Moore
#4 - Lazenby
#5 - Brosnan (Pierce is one of my favorite Bond's, but he never sounded like it was HIS name when he said it. It always came across like Pierce Brosnan saying a line).
What are your thoughts?
Regards

Goldfinger, hands down. "Bond, James Bond" as he looks out over the window view in Miami...
I'll agree with this one. The Dr No casino scene, although iconic, didn't have the natural confidence of the Miami moment.

Probably Connery in Dr. No or Goldfinger.
I have to agree. Those are probably the two best deliveries of the line in the series, although I've always been fond of Dalton's throw-away delivery of it in TLD.

For me it would have to be Connery delivering thline in DR. NO or GOLDFINGER. Though other comments in the thread make me want to check Dalton in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS again. Of course, I am looking forward to hearing Craig too.Almost every Bond film has featured the famous line where Bond says his name as, "Bond, James Bond." Sometimes the deliveries have been boring and flat, other times classic and memorable. Which "Bond, James Bond" moments were the best and worst deliveries of that line.

My rankings of how they said it:
1. Sean Connery
2. Roger Moore
3. George Lazenby
4. Pierce Brosnan
5. Timothy Dalton (sorry, but I just don't like his delivery in TLD and it's too abruptly cut off in LTK)

Moore's first ever in LALD was pretty good. That whole scene is great. Bond's a captive yet hes so unfazed and in control. That scene validated Moore as Bond for me. The delivery and his mannerisms during the "My name's Bond. James Bond". were perfect.
I agree....and Mr. Big's response "Names is for tombstones" was classic.

Moore in LALD and also liked the way he said it in FYEO to Ferrara, he didn't say the whole phrase, just: "Bond. James."

I think because he had already given the line to Melina in the car chase.

I never liked Brosnan's delivery though - He always seemed like he was pausing between words for someone to applaud.

My favorite will always be Dalton's cast-off delivery in The Living Daylights' opening sequence - So cool, yet so different from the others that came before. Connery's delivery early on in Goldfinger was priceless too.

Agreed. I've always thought that Dalton's delivery was fantastic, even though it wasn't as iconic as Connery's deliveries of it in Dr. No and Goldfinger. Dalton's delivery just shows that there is room to do things differently within the tried and true Bond formula.

Speaking of the world, Broz gets pounded pretty hard for his delivery, and I agree with the masses about it sometimes being delivered too heavily, but I really do like his delivery to Elektra in TWINE. His voice is settled low, he's talking to a lady, and he's not trying to be overly bravado in this moment. It just seems his most casual and natural, IMO.
Hoping Craig's will be the best since Dr. No.

However, by far the most natural, human (as in the way a real person, not movie character after effect, would say it) HAS to be Lazenby's second, when he makes the phone call to Draco.
And its very cool as well.

Brosnan's version in Tomorrow Never Dies was his best - less forced and more legit.
But as much as this might be unpopular, Roger Moore did his best Fleming-esqe version in THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN when he meets Lazaar. Very serious / don't mess with me...
When I watch each actor say those iconic words, the real key is to watch their eyes when they say it. Most of the time it is just a line in the script, but for the good ones like Goldfinger or TMWTGG, the eyes add a whole additional presence to the scene.

Connery in Goldfinger
Dalton in The Living Daylights
Brosnan in Goldeneye (hey, I liked the way he said it the first time!)
