I will know beg that this doesn't turn into another "Craig-right or wrong" thread.

It will. And a Craig-hater will probably point out that he looks like a vampire or heroin addict in that pic.
You Craig hater. And you're right. I also think he looks pretty cool. Which is disturbing.

he's been "a name to watch" in Britain since 1998 (when he did the biopic about Francis Bacon) and has been highly acclaimed for his performaces, so its nice for him to finally get International recognition for his skills annd talents.
That reminds me; I came across this piece from 2000 yesterday:

It's all about the young Brit pack (some of whom still to break through in a big style like Dominic West or Damien Lewis) and is has this to say about Craig:
Daniel Craig (32)
Strong-featured, ultra-masculine actor who stormed off the television screen and into movies with an impressive demonstration of strength and versatility in Elizabeth, Love is the Devil and The Trench. Particularly good at playing military blokes, he has a solidity and pugnaciousness that will see him headbutt his way into Hollywood. Has shared the screen with Kim Basinger and lived. Latest project is Tomb Raider opposite Angelina Jolie.
Pretty interesting stuff. Seems about right to get an 'ultra-masculine' guy to play James Bond!

About his profile, I have no doubt that it is in fact rising each day, not just because he has a pretty face, but because of his real and strong talent to act.
(Go Craig!)

-Never mind, just found pictures of previous editions, looks like this is the first time they've used an actor for the cover.

He has been well-known in the UK for almost a decade, since the days on "Our friends in the North", but now he will get international recognition.

I agree with those who said that we are seeing the transition from actor to movie star.
He has been well-known in the UK for almost a decade, since the days on "Our friends in the North", but now he will get international recognition.
what you (and they said).
it's always good to see talent recognised...

But Craig IS James Bond. It's not James Bond's profile that's supposed to be rising.
