Watched YOLT, which wasn't nearly as good as I remember (way too much back projection), TMWTGG, which was way better than I remember (I'd argue Moore's best after watching it last night), and LALD, which is just as so-so as it always has been in my eyes. It was nice to revisit these after a long time to find my opinions slightly altered.
That is interesting. Last time I watched TMWTGG it also was much better than I remembered. And a lot more serious too.

I feel like watching OHMSS, what about you guys
My son came up with a good one for a 007 marathon this weekend. Rather than playing them in order, or grouping them by actor, he decided to turn the dvds around so the labels couldn't be seen (removing the outer jackets of those that have them, of course...)
After shuffling them like a deck of cards (figuratively speaking), we'd pick one at random, watch that, then leave it turned around (on the discard pile, if you will). It'll be pretty interesting to see how the order goes.
Point of interest... the 1st pick was TWINE.

Can you imagine? "Hmm, I wonder what movie this is? Oh, there's Pierce in the gunbarrel...phew no CGI bullet. Lets see, the white dot is going up rather than down...that means TWINE!"
Would be quite an enjoyable experience.

As I'm re-reading Thunderball I wouldn't mind re-watching the movie. Love the locations and coolness of Bond in that movie.
Agree. Just Finished The Novel Not Too Long Ago Myself, And Wouldn't Mind Seeing Thunderball, There Is Something About That Night Scene Where Bond Is Being Searched For Around Largo's Compound, Ending In The Shark Pool. Classic, And Memorable.

Agreed. In fact all the night time scenes have real class to them.

Tomorrow Never Dies was one of the featured movies on a recent flight to the UK, and so I watched the first half. So, I would choose the 2nd half of TND.
I can imagine several of the aerial scenes must've been edited. It was true of a showing of Goldeneye on a flight previously.Once, when I was a patient in the hospital, the television had looped Casino Royale ( & Mama Mia, God help me) over & over again. Given my surroundings, it should've come as NO surprise to me that the entire "Dirty Martini" scene had been cut.

OK... the results are in. My boy had me turn the DVDs around and shuffle them. Over the course of 2 weeks we watched them at his random whim.
In this order (for no other reason then fate), they are:
TWINE DAD LALD TLD YOLT QOS TND
LTK OP OHMSS CR FRWL FYEO AVTAK
TSWLM TB DN TWMWGG MR GF NSNA
...and finally, DAF.

Your thoughts, Sir Miles?
It struck me how evenly blended the variety was, keeping in mind it was all STRICTLY done by random chance.

A double feature of A View to a Kill and The Living Daylights. I must be in an '80s nostalgia mood.
Do those two go well together?

I think so. One shows the end of an era followed by the beginning of a new one. Plus, TLD vastly improves on its immediate predecessor and AVTAK shows how much of an improvement TLD was.
As for now, I'm in the mood for The Spy Who Loved Me

Yes, but an honest wish shared by many right now!
