I was browsing around the 007 forever forums and there was a link for a new JG site.
www.john-gardner.com
It's got some interesting stuff Gardner wrote about being a Bond author. He said The Man From Barbarossa was his favorite because it was something new and different. He also said Oh No Mr. Bond was considered for a title by the US publishers.

It's great to see that Gardner has a site online! what's even better is that he's written most of the articles on it himself, making the Bond one an extremely great read!

I don't think Gardner really hated writing Bond, he ends saying how it was a "splendid experience."
It'd be interesting to hear what Gardner thinks of Benson.

I'll say this much:
When Raymond Benson originally published "The James Bond Bedside Companion" he was a little rough on Gardner. But then when Benson reissued the book, after he started writing the novels...he backtracked on some of his comments.
Benson certainly respects Gardner...and I think JG would extend the same courtesy to RB.

Its a pretty cool site, nice looking, very interesting, not just the Bond stuff. I was pleasently suprised to see that he wrote most of the stuff himself. Thumbs up.
