Well this is an interesting twist. Bond resigns from the service after recieving alarge sum of money from his Australian uncle's will in order to penetrate SPECTRE's plans.

Since when did Bond have family after he joined the service? I though You Only Live Twice confirmed that.

Gardner's James Bond didn't always mesh 100% with Fleming's.

yeah i can tell. I think he's a great writter especially with Bond. It's just that he takes away some of the, ideals( i don't think that the right word) that Bond had introduced in the Fleming books.

Raymond Benson did that to Gardner too, but his are slightly more understandable. Back to Commander Bond, uses the PPK, and smokes and drinks more.

Well the Walther PPK got updated by the manufacturing company. I wonder why Bond got demoted though
