Re-read scene 65 of the script. It's pretty clear what happens at the Body World Exhibit. Dimitrios is not in much of a fit state to do anything after that.

Remember what Bond did to Fiona Volpe when she died? He did the same thing with Alex Dimitrios but instead set him at a card table with skeletons at the Body World Exhibit.
