Been wondering about the title sequence recently and wondering if it was going to be entirely based upon Bond's dossier becoming stamped as a 00-agent, or whether there may be other aspects to it. What would everyone else like to see?

The main interesting details to be learnt from the description of this eBay item is that it mentions a "bullet going thru a pack of cards and blood coming out of them".

I think they are going to be doing it kind of like DAD in that the Main titles will actually tell part of the story where in DAD it was Bond's torture, in CR it is his past leading up to getting his '00'. So there should be some of the more usual stuff or maybe not quite but they probably will incorporate a casino, Card, or poker motif to the sequence.

I think it might be just a typical Kleinman title sequnce. With them rebooting the series with CR, I don't think they would use techniques that they have done so recently. We might have a title sequence similar to DAD's in the future but I don't think they use it again so soon, espically when DAD was the equivilant of Moonraker and Casino Royale will be more down to earth like For Your Eyes Only was. Also I think they wanted to give DAD a special touch as it was the 20th film and 40 years of the Bond films. i.e the CGI bullet in the gunbarrel and the very diffrent approach to the title seqeunce was IMO just a little polish up.

GoldenEye kinda did this too. It was more of a transition from when the pre-titles took place to when the actual film took place. Thus the fall of the Berlin Wall and Communism, etc - not necessarily about Bond. This is more like what I'm expecting for Casino Royale. It doesn't really advance the story, like say Die Another Day did where they showed Bond being tortured, but it does segue into Bond becoming a 00 as more of a background type deal.

Yeah, it was a little more subtle in GE though, unlike how the DAD MT overtly shows Bonds torture and I know that the CR one will feature pics/stills from Bond's dossier including pics of Bond's first 2 kills.

Licence to Kill credits were about casinos too. I love when they show "007" with chips.

I though they already told that the credits will be about him becoming 00, don't know if they're going to include something related to Casinos like the bullet and the card, but as we are going to see 'CASINO Royale' I would expect something like that.
