"I got the part and I read the script and thought, 'Where's my action?'

"I am an ex-gymnast and I have been doing stunts all my life so they added more just for me. I have a scene where I gave Daniel a hard time, and I have a scene where someone is giving me a hard time. I didn't get to drive cars over cliffs, sadly!"

Said by Mads in an interview - what do you think was added, and do you think it was added before or after the dec draft

It sounds to me as if it was added before from the two scenes he mentions (ala the confrontation with Obanno, and then the scene with Bond). I think he's really exaggerating things - I doubt we'll see Le Chiffre do anything substantial.

But then again, when exactly was Mikkelsen announced as Le Chiffre?

Yeah I agree with Harmsway. Even with Mads' gymnastic abilities, with the new gritter movie that we've heard so much about, I'd doubt that they would introduce a few backflips into his scenes just to show that off. Hopefully his athletic prowess just means that he can put a bit more into the fight scenes physically yet realistically.

I do recall a while back Stax did say he heard something about a fight between Bond and Le Chiffre that was not in the script or something. I'll try and find it.

Oh really?

Hmm. That could be a good thing - if there was one character in the script I thought could afford to have a little more to do, it's Le Chiffre. I'd just wonder where the hell it would fit in.

Late February, if I remember correctly.

Well then it seems he might have a scene we don't know about after all.

Here it is from Stax, an insider I trust.

Stax:
"Just because he had "injury" make-up on in those pics from a few weeks ago doesn't mean he had been filming a fight scene then. It was just for continuity's sake. This, I believe, was supposed to be a fight between him and Mikkelsen, although they never have one in the script I read. He does have a doozy of a brawl with a guy in the stairwell of the casino and also one in Miami. It also could have been from the finale in Vienna, with an interior set in Prague doubling for that. Any of those scenes could have been the one where he got hurt."

Hmmm... well that's referring to images of Craig on the first day of shooting, but we know now that that scene was actually part of the Madagascar sequence.

Interesting. Most interesting. If there is a fight between Craig and Mikkelsen as Stax suggests (which he's never talked about since), it will definitely come as a surprise to me.

Hmmm... well that's referring to when Craig supposedly lost his teeth, but we know that scene was actually with Sebastian Foucan, I thought.

Oh and I thought it was in the scene with Seydina Balde at the Nambutu Embassy! :)

Edit: admittedly, Sebastien Foucan is in the same scene

Honestly, I think Mikkelsen may not be referring to real added sequences, necessarily, but maybe that the ones already there were beefed up a little bit. Maybe there's just more to how he gives Craig a "hard time" during the torture scene?

Wasn't it during the fight rehersals or was it actual filming where Craig got the cap knocked lose?

I don't know to be honest. This story has all got a bit out of hand anyway. It was exaggerated ridiculously by the British tabloid press. My understanding that it was definitely the fight scene in the embassy which was filmed in the first couple of days of the shooting schedule back at the start of February (before Mads was cast indeed) - but as for whether it was a rehearsal or actual filming of the scene, I'm not sure.

Wasn't sure really where to post this, but I got some information about Seydina Balde today. I know a few people have been wondering where he fitted into the movie.

He is not a major character, but performs some stunts as an Embassy Guard and Construction Worker during the Madagascar sequences. The Military Attache at the Nambutu Embassy is in fact played by Valentine Nonyela who has mainly appeared on British television. This may be on interest to someone I suppose!!

Perhaps Mads will get to apply his gymnastic skills during the testitcle torture scene?

Oh the images that come to mind. Perfect time for a Madonna cameo.

What, are you kidding? Her DAD "cockfight" quip might actually be justified in this scene!
