After completing my Fleming paperback collection. I'am now collecting the uk paperbacks of the Gardner novels.
Unfortunatly there isn't by my knowledge a complete set.
The first six of the Gardner books where published in this style
The style I'm collecting, but I can't find For Special Services in that fashion. Was is ever published and if so could some one send us a pic of it.
Thanks

I'd knew you'd come up with something.
Is this a rare copy then, cus'it seems quite hard to get??
I'am quite fond of these covers and am dissapointed that the rest of the Gardner novels weren't in this style.
I think when it get's to Scorpio i'll start collecting these.
It a shame that Seafire or Cold arn't in those styles.
I've got Brokenclaw and TMFB, but not thge rest. It would be nice if they do relese all the Gardner novels in one complete set.

What's the edition number of that book (JG's Win, Lose Or Die)?
I have two copies I think. I have the habit of taking all that's available on the store's bookshelves.

If IFP do a new reprint of Gardner's Bond with a set of snazzy uniform covers, i'll sell you my copy of Win Lose or Die with the jet on the cover for a miniscule price. It's in near mint condition and you can hold me to that.

k13oharts...don't know what edition this book is, it's just the one with the jet on the cover. Pic attached.
If you have one you'd be willimng to part with, that would be great.

To me it seems odd that they print all of the Fleming books and the Amis novel and only Licence Renewed, For Special Services, Win Lose or Die Seafire and Cold and a couple of Benson novels with those type of artwork, which I think are reasonably good.

There's a lot of Gardner pb's on ebay right now. Looks like the one you're looking for is in this batch..

That to me looks like a Coronet print, with artwork possably by Gregory Scott or David Scutt.

Agreed. That style is my fave of all Bond paperbacks. I wish they all had covers like that.

Yes, FSS was done in this style. I like to think of these as the Dalton Bond covers as they were done during the Dalton years and that silhouette looks like Timmy.

I always seem to see the Licence Renewed and Role Of Honour versions listed, but never For Special Services or the others.
