While I'm not especially fond of the idea of a new car for every film, I wondered for the past few weeks, what Craig's next ride could be. Generally, for the literary Bond I always prefered a down-to-earth unobtrusive model, as Gardner issued with the Saab. But for the cinematic Bond, I think a more extravagant style is necessary, as long as it's not completely outlandish and can be explained as a sound choice for the surroundings. For example, the BMW Z8 wasn't a terrible good choice for the Black Sea coast or the Aserbaidshan mountains. IMHO, this was only surpassed by the AM in Iceland. But both cars would have done splendid in the proper setting, say the Spanish/French/Italian coast with its jet-set background.

Now, I just stumbled about a car that would fit a similar setting, the Morgan Aeromax that will be produced in 2008 in the meagre number of 100 cars. I think, Bond would fit perfectly into this classic design and it would suit his tastes. Unfortunately, I doubt, if it ever will become an item with EON to feature a Morgan in one of their productions.

I've always thought Lotus could return with flair. But with it's limited line up, perhaps something else. Not new, but the Aston Martin DB7 Zagato is an '03 model, but beautiful. We don't need bond to have a new car if Q is non-existant
