We play this game at work, to pass time we name actors that if you see him or her in a movie you know it's terrible. It doesn't require much thought really..all you have to do is think who is consistently in terrible movies! There are no sweethearts in this game so anyone can be named it doesn't matter of they are critcally acclaimed or have won awards. So to get the ball rollin'

Lou Diamond Phillips(well known American actor for such box office smashes as BATS and SUPERNOVA.)

Steven Seagal: Made just 1 good movie(Above the Law) and everything else for the past 18 years has been unwatchable trash. I say he's the worst because if he wasn't a good actor he could at least show up to work in decent shape and perform most of his stunts...he's fat and lazy, but worse, he is universally considered the biggest A hole in the movie industry.I recently met a guy who was an extra in Above the Law and he told me a story about how SS was such a jerk on that film. This guy was in the scene in the bar when he has a big fight...he says Seagall took unscripted hard shots at people and actually hurt guys for no apparent reason.

[mra]Not that it makes him any better of an actor but Executive Decision and Under Siege (aka Die Hard On A Boat) are two pretty darn good films of Mr Seagal

I loved Executive Decision but that's really a Kurt Russel-team work movie. Seagal was a jerk in that too and the audience I saw it with cheered when he died 15 minutes in!

Under Siege was a weak piant job of Die hard ona boat, the first of many rip offs of the 'crisis action movie'. It was just ok I guess...

Oooh nooo! 'Point Break' is one of my all time favourites.

Ben Affleck would have to be a prime candidate for this one. Sean Penn can act well enough, but I know whenever I go to see one of his films to leave my sense of humour at home, I find his constant self-righteousness rather tedious.

It's a very good film, but Reeves' performance is nothing to write home about. To be fair, neither is anyone else's. BTW, is it just me, or could SPEED - with a little tweaking, natch - have very easily been POINT BREAK 2?

Agreed on Affleck and Penn.

Steven Segal

Positively one of the worst actors and laziest martial artists in action cinema. No wonder his projects are going straight to video now...

Ooh.

I'd have said "Anyone Pierce Brosnan beats to an award", but I'd probably get shouted at. Again.

Ruger Hauer! For a while he was doing those low-budget films that were on par with the "soft-core" production values of mid-90's cable flicks.

I know exactly what you mean, but I still think he is a great actor. Wouldn't mind him as a Bond villain...at least we'd know what to expect.

I feel that way about Clint Eastwood. If you've seen one Clint film, you've seen them all.

Not true. He's somewhat typecast now, but he has had a more varied acting past than a lot of people give him credit for. And he's brilliant at that typecast role, anyhow, doing it better than probably anybody else could.

Not quite. This has to do with the trash he plays in lately. I had the chance to watch him on stage some months ago, in "The Cut", and, although I didn't love the play, he was exquisite, very subtle and detailed.
