hi,
i've just read some interesting article, don't know how much of it is true or not...

"I was able to get in contact with some of my friends connected to the production in Pinewood and the rest of the UK. They told me that most of the footage for the Bond 22 opener has been shot. Whether it is used for a 2007 rlease or not, it is very likely the action scenes will be used. They take place straight after CR's ending. Craig is said to only have shot close ups and the slow paced action while the second unit took a short time to do some more action. This was mainly because Dan was still needed for the rest of cr's shoot and they couldn't risk losing him at all. It is said he'll go back at the end of july to finish his part completely.
It is sadi to involve a huge army shootout and Jesper Christensen's Mr. White.
More news as I get it."

what do you think about that?

Makes economical sense, I guess. Maybe Jesper Christensen was hired as Mr. White for CR and for Bond 22. At least this way EON don`t have to hire him twice and pay him twice.

It would be nice to see some of the Bond 22 PTS at the end of the CR film, just before the end title music, thus letting the audience know that the next film will be a follow on. It may also give the audience a lift, especially if the film does end on a downbeat note, as the book does.

This, of course, if this rumour is true, and not just a made up tabloid story.

Best

Andy

an interesting article. it makes sense if they are using the same sets and all for the scene in the opening of the next one and dont have to take things apart and reset them up. i think they would still have to pay him for two films but it would probably not be nearly as much as it would be if they had to bring him in again later on.

overall this makes a lot of sense if it is true, i hope this means that they are trying to get the next one out in 2007.

Would this imply that Martin Campbell will be directing the next Bond film? Or are they going to pull a Richard Donner/Lester (Superman/Superman 2)?

hmm good question... some weeks ago the guy who posted that article wrote (on the same board) that campbell would also do the next installment...

i wouldnt mind having campbell direct the next installment if that means we will have it sooner. if they want it in 2007 it would make sense unless they already have a director set for it which they could

They wouldn't do that as that would mean firing Campbell and hiring a new director.

This is great news if it's true. I remember hearing that Tracy's death was originally intended for the beginning of DAF (to make OHMSS a happy ending), but in the end Hunt decided to make it the conclusion of OHMSS. Maybe that will happen here too, and this might not end up in Bond 22 after all.

Actually I would thing that they could get Bond 22 out sooner (2007) if they had a different director. That way, while Campbell is finishing up post production on CR - another director cold be doing preproduction on BOnd 22.

No he doesn't. On Her Majesty's Secret Service didn't start exactly where You Only Live Twice left off. Halloween II, however, picked up exactly where Halloween ended.
