I actually learned of this a few weeks back and have been holding my breath waiting for "official" news. Happily, that offical news is good -- the stroke was "mild" and he's recovering.

You can read the details HERE or at John's official site.

I've often been pretty harsh on him and his books. Anyway, I honestly hope he'll recover fully and quickly and will be able to enjoy his life and health for many more years to come. Get well soon, Mr. Gardner!

Best wishes to John Gardner. It's good to hear that it was only a mild stroke, but such things are always serious and something that you don't want to see happen to anyone. Hopefully he has a full and speedy recovery.

Glad to read he's doing well.

Srokes are a tricky bit. They either hit mild or can take someone down in the blink of an eye.

Here's to a speedy recovery Mr. G.
